1980Mercedes-Benz 280 SE

A colour the factory no longer offers.

The W116 was the first car officially marketed as an "S-Class" and won European Car of the Year in 1974. Our 280 SE wears a long-discontinued factory shade — somewhere between mint and aged copper patina — that turns every photograph it appears in into something from another decade. The straight-six is silken; the chrome is original. There is, to our knowledge, not another like it in private hands.
